inspire change
Wilo is a unisex French cruelty-free and carbon neutral brand.
By creating a brand that is more respectful of our ecosystem, we want to allow everyone
to dress and travel in accordance with their values. Inspiring a sustainable lifestyle, respectful of humans,
animals and the planet, to highlight the diversity of each, is at the heart of our project.

Social & Environmental Responsibility
Social, environmental and economic responsibility
is at the heart of the Wilo project since its establishment.

no animal
Animal welfare and respect for their lives are an integral part of our perpective. All our creations are 100% vegan, i. e. free of animal materials or materials derived from animals. We advocate the democratization of ecological and vegetal synthetic materials, in order to offer beautiful and durable accessories. We integrate Wilo into a process of continuous research and development of new raw materials. Wilo is Peta and Animal Free certified.
carbon-neutral
We pay particular attention to minimizing our ecological footprint, both in the choice of materials and in the manufacture of our products and our distribution channel.
We have set up a carbon accounting and voluntary offsetting system for the emissions related to our activity, which takes into account the complete life cycle of our products, from the extraction of the materials which are necessary for their manufacture to their end of life, in order to present a carbon neutral balance sheet from our creation. The agroforestry and primary Amazonian forest preservation projects selected in Peru to offset our emissions are audited and certified by independent organizations. In addition to compensation, they offer sustainable solutions adapted to the local context, allowing to improve the existing living conditions of the populations.
reconcile ethics and economics
In order to optimize our prices and make a more responsible lifestyle affordable, we prefer short circuits. We deliver from our workshop to your home without going through distributors, except for possible one-off partnerships. The preparation of our packages and their shipment are carried out by Ateliers Sans Frontières (ARES), a charity for people reintegration. Our products are manufactured in Portugal, in a workshop that respects workers’ rights.
A PROJECT ALWAYS IN PROGRESS
Wilo is a project which always goes forward: the CSR foundations we laid at its launch are the foundations of a sustainable dynamic of continuous improvement.
As we grow, with the help of our ecosystem of partners, we want to enable those who want to, to adopt an increasingly responsible and positive lifestyle and way of life.

Manufacturing & materials
Wilo is a European brand: our items are designed in France, assembled in Portugal, and the components we use come from France, Italy, Portugal, or Spain. All our subcontractors meet strict European standards. During our regular trips, we can notice that the working conditions in place there are respected.
The items from our first collection are mainly made from GOTS certified organic cotton, and PVC-free synthetic polyurethane microfibers, complying with the European REACH regulation and Ecolabel certified.
In order to achieve our environmental objectives while ensuring quality service, we optimize the quantity and composition of the packaging we use.
Each delivered item is carefully hand wrapped in an organic cotton bag made in Portugal.
The ink we use is of mineral origin, and the reinforcements of our products are made from very high density paper cellulose.
The label attached to the delivered products is handmade from recycled paper and contains organic wildflower seeds to be planted.
The paper used to stuff our bags for delivery is also made of recycled paper.
